VSCCS - Vehicle Safety Compliance Certification Scheme (Refer to www.rta.nsw.gov.au for more info)
A lot of confusion has surrounded the planning and implementation of the VSCCS by NSW Transport Roads and Maritime (formerly known as the RTA). In essence, this legislation has been introduced to provide an updated method for ensuring that all modified vehicles are inspected by suitably qualified persons before being registered for use on our roads. VSCCS does not currently include any changes to the types of modifications allowed, only the inspection process.
