This could be the next hot ticket for British Ford fans in 2013 and it is coming to Australia!

The new Fiesta ST will be powered by a 1.6 litre ecoboost engine capable of producing 132kW and 240Nm of torque - putting it squarely in the same ballpark as the popular Polo GTi. With sub seven second 0-100 km/hr acceleration times, a top speed in excess of 220km/hr and 20 percent lower fuel consumption than the previous Fiesta ST this should be an interesting little car to punt around in. The new ST also gets a specially tuned chassis that sits 15mm lower than the standard Fiesta while the inclusion of torque vectoring control and 3 electronic stability control modules results in significantly improved ride and handling.

Inside the vehicle is suitably sporty as well with Recaro seats and a system called MyKey which allows the owner to limit the car's performance when less experienced drivers are behind the wheel. It is likely that a 5 door version will hit the market in Australia in the middle of 2013 with pricing expected to be around the $25000 mark.
